Pebbles 6 kiddos in pebbles
The pebbles class is focusing on tummy time for the infant and adjusting the new children to the class environment.
Onyx 10 kiddos in onyx Onyx will be working on fine motor skills by using crayons, flipping pages, and tearing paper. They will also be learning about sharing, Colors, and winter weather.
Emerald and Boulder 10 kiddos in Emerald 24 in Boulder The main topic is love. The class will be making Crystal Hearts, and doing marble painting heart shapes. Hands-on science learning with Valentine's slime. Reading children's books and bible stories about love and how to treat each other. The animal trackers curriculum is going well. The classes are finishing up with Chapter 3 Chuck the Cheetah and starting Chapter 4 Kate the Kangaroo. If parents are interested in continuing the activities at home please check out the classroom doors for more information. The bible story this month is John preaches.
Weather typically has average temperatures of 54°F between 34°F with rain throughout the month. Please remember to dress your child appropriately for this session.
Special Event/ Days Wednesdays are pajama day.
Feb 1-All classes wear red for the Chinese New Year.
Feb 6- Silly hair day
Feb 12 & 26- Librarian reading to Emerald and Boulder.
Feb 14- Emerald & Boulder Valentines Party. The children will Decorate their Valentineboxes and Pass out Valentines from home please have them in by the 10th. Pizza and other crafts will be provided.
Sharing/Caring
Is a big part at our school, we love to coach the children on how to accomplish the sharing and caring and then pretty soon they are empathetic with each other and show true caring for one anouther
.
Recipes
We do for the emerald and prek class from scratch is our Birthday recipe for the month. We do not have families bring in snacks for their childs birthday we celebrate all the birthdays for the month the 3rd Thursday of each month
Sharing/Communication
We are working with the children to teach them how to communicate with each other,
instead of getting upset.. We will ask the children to talk to each other about
the situation and how they can make better choices. We will guide them into the
right choices. Snack time is a great place for them to communicate and learn to
let each other talk and not interrupt each other as they are
speaking.
Asking your child about their day
When asking your child what they did today, be more specific what songs did you sing? What did we do for science this week? What Bible story are you learning? Did you play any games today? what did you do for free choice? Did you help your friends today, What outside activity did you particiapte in today.
